In the five-year technology agreement Huawei, which is the market leader in the area of wireless technology, will establish the largest open wireless LAN infrastructure of the Netherlands in the Amsterdam ArenA. The Amsterdam ArenA and Ajax will, through this Wifi network, be able to offer new services to fans and visitors which will enrich their visit to the stadium. It is expected that all ArenA visitors will be able to optimally enjoy the Wifi network as of the beginning of 2015. Wifi use will be free during Ajax matches.
The official partner agreement with Ajax will last three years. In the sponsorship package, it has been agreed that the brand will be seen during Ajax matches thanks to LED billboards and visibility in the club’s online and offline media. The package offers Huawei the possibility to increase its brand recognition and includes several different elements of brand enhancement.
