Sean Steur looked back on a wonderful evening. On Wednesday night, he made his debut in Ajax’s starting line-up and in the Champions League. What’s more, the young player even provided an assist in Europe’s premier club competition. "A very beautiful evening, something no one can ever take away from me," said the 17-year-old midfielder after the 2–4 victory away at Qarabağ FK. "When I stepped onto the pitch, I really thought: this is something I have to enjoy."

Contract extension for Sean Steur

Ajax and Sean Steur have reached an agreement on a new contract. The seventeen-year-old midfielder's new deal will run until June 30, 2028. His previous contract was set to run until mid-2027.
