Ajax pre-season programme: more opponents confirmed

Ajax's pre-season programme ahead of the 2026/2027 season is taking further shape. The Amsterdam club will face Cypriot side AEK Larnaca (July 10), VfL Bochum (July 15), Olympiacos (July 18) and Burnley FC (July 26) during pre-season. It was previously announced that Míchel’s side will kick off their preparations against Panathinaikos.

Changes to Ajax U23 coaching staff

While Ajax's first team will report for pre-season training on Thursday, the Ajax U23 squad will return a day earlier to begin preparations for the new campaign. Several changes have been made to the Ajax U23 coaching staff. Carlos García, who joined Ajax in February as assistant to Oscar García at both Ajax U23 and Ajax 1, has been appointed head coach with immediate effect.
