Ajax player Aaron Bouwman has been part of the club’s youth academy since 2018, having joined from partner club Koninklijke HFC. In April 2024, at the age of sixteen, he made his debut for Ajax U23 in the home match against Roda JC, which ended 1–1. In the summer of 2025, he made his first-team debut for Ajax in the 2–0 win over Telstar.

However, two Ajax players quietly impressed at the back.
