Aaron Bouwman will not be in action again during the month of September. The Ajax defender was admitted to hospital during the night following the match against PSV. Examinations showed that Bouwman suffered several injuries, including bruising to his sternum and a bruised lung. He remains in hospital on Sunday for observation. He is expected to be allowed home later on Sunday evening.
Bouwman sustained the injury in the closing stages of the match and had to be substituted. The nineteen-year-old defender will miss Ajax's matches against Fortuna Sittard, Willem II and Excelsior.
