Ajax has reached an agreement with Udinese and Abdoulaye Camara regarding the loan of the seventeen-year-old midfielder. The loan deal will run for one season and includes an option to buy for Ajax. Camara's move remains subject to the completion of a number of formalities.
Camara (Conakry, Guinea, September 28, 2008) began his football career in France. He joined Montpellier's academy in the summer of 2023. In mid-2025, he moved to Italian side Udinese, where he made most of his appearances for the club's reserve team.
On May 17, 2026, the France youth international made his first-team debut for Udinese in the Serie A match against Cremonese.
Once his transfer has been completed, Camara will join the Ajax U23 squad.
While Ajax's first team will report for pre-season training on Thursday, the Ajax U23 squad will return a day earlier to begin preparations for the new campaign. Several changes have been made to the Ajax U23 coaching staff. Carlos García, who joined Ajax in February as assistant to Oscar García at both Ajax U23 and Ajax 1, has been appointed head coach with immediate effect.

Ajax and Atlético Madrid have reached an agreement on the immediate transfer of Jano Monserrate. The 20-year-old midfielder has signed a four-year contract in Amsterdam, running until June 30, 2030. Monserrate will join the Ajax U23 squad with immediate effect.
