Branco van den Boomen has started his second spell at Ajax. The 28-year-old midfielder from Veldhoven previously played in Ajax's youth academy, signing a three-year contract in Amsterdam at the age of sixteen in 2011. In 2014, he left for FC Eindhoven. After stints with SC Heerenveen, Willem II, De Graafschap, and French club Toulouse, he returned to Ajax this summer.

Function change Alex Kroes

The Supervisory Board and management of AFC Ajax NV reached an agreement this Thursday with Alex Kroes that he will step down as CEO and chairman of the board, and subsequently start as titular technical director. If and when a final agreement is reached, the relevant agenda item of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders on May 21 will be cancelled.
