Pakistan cricket team delegation visits training session

The Ajax team welcomed some VIPs on Friday. A delegation from the Pakistan national cricket team watched as the squad worked up a sweat during training.

The Pakistan side are currently staying in the Netherlands to play three matches against the Dutch cricket team in the international Super League. The first two have already been played, and the third will take place on Sunday 21 August.

Included in the delegation from Pakistan was national team captain, Babar Azam. Azam is the world's best batsman and had his picture taken with Dusan Tadic after the Amsterdam training session. Another four players from the team and some staff members were present at de Toekomst.

Edwin van der Sar and Klaas Jan Huntelaar were also spotted at the edge of the pitch. The pair met with guests and posed for photos.

Ajax signs contract with Ahmetcan Kaplan

Ajax has reached agreement with Ahmetcan Kaplan and Trabzonspor on the Turkish player's transfer to Amsterdam. The 19-year-old defender signed a five-year contract with immediate effect, which runs until 30 June 2027.
