Ajax has reached agreement with Ahmetcan Kaplan and Trabzonspor on the Turkish player's transfer to Amsterdam. The 19-year-old defender signed a five-year contract with immediate effect, which runs until 30 June 2027.
Kaplan was born in Trabzon on 16 January 2003 and has played for the current champion of the Turkish Süper Lig since starting his youth career.

Ajax and Jurriën Timber have reached an agreement for the extension of his contract, that originally ran until June 30, 2024. The new contract of the 21-year-old defender runs until June 30, 2025.
