CEO Menno Geelen: "In recent months, Marijn's role had already begun to change in certain areas. During discussions about the future structure of our football organisation, it became clear that there was too great a difference of opinion. We had constructive discussions about this and jointly concluded that it would be better for us to part ways. His duties and responsibilities will, in principle, be reassigned internally. Marijn has worked incredibly hard for the club over the past two and a half years, helping to align the various football departments and succeeding in retaining many talented players. We are grateful to him for all his efforts and wish him every success in the next stage of his career."
Beuker: "It has been a great privilege to work for Ajax. I look back with pride on the collaboration with all the players, parents, coaches and colleagues, and on the steps we have taken together to further develop the football organisation. We have worked on a clear vision and methodological approach, creating a foundation on which the club can continue to build in the years ahead. In football, there are different beliefs about the path to success. In a high-performance environment, it is essential that there is complete alignment on direction and decision-making. As I have said before: it is better to have one vision that everyone fully supports than multiple visions existing side by side. Based on that conviction, Ajax and I have jointly decided that this is the right moment to go our separate ways. I wish everyone at Ajax every success in achieving the ambitions that belong to this great club."

Exclusive: Ajax open their doors at the start of the Míchel Sánchez era
The World Cup is still in full swing, but for several Ajax players preparations for the new season have already begun. Our new head coach, Míchel Sánchez, welcomed his squad to de Toekomst on Thursday for their initial tests, followed by the first group training session on Friday. The head coach also showed he hasn’t lost his touch, joining in a rondo himself. We were there on both days, from start to finish, capturing everything along the way.
