Ajax could only manage to draw 2-2 against Fortuna Sittard in the 25th round of the Eredivisie. John van 't Schip's team took the lead in the first half courtesy of Kenneth Taylor, but let Fortuna Sittard score two goals in the second half. In the closing stages it fell to substitute Brian Bobby to earn Ajax another point.
Sunday saw Ajax only manage a poor sequel to last Thursday's outstanding game against Aston Villa (0-0). The clash against Fortuna Sittard in the Johan Cruyff ArenA ended in a 2-2 draw. Substitute Brian Brobbey blasted Ajax level just before the final whistle against the Eredivisie team sitting in tenth place.
Jordan Henderson was feeling disappointed following the home fixture against Fortuna Sittard. The captain was not happy with the 2-2 draw. "It wasn't the finest game, just a mediocre performance," Henderson was clear. "Things were tricky and tough after last Thursday's match against Aston Villa."
Ajax held their final training session at the De Toekomst training ground on Saturday. The Ajax team faces Fortuna Sittard at home Sunday in round 25 of the Dutch Eredivisie.
