After two matches in the UEFA Champions League, Ajax hold onto the spoils of victory. Besiktas were beaten 2-0 at a high-spirited Johan Cruijff ArenA. The Ajax team visibly enjoyed a capacity crowd, and that certainly brought out the best in the players in the first half.
Ajax have followed through on their UEFA Champions League journey close on the heels of victory over Sporting Lisbon (5-1). Besiktas were sent back home to Turkey following a 2-0 defeat at the Johan Cruijff ArenA on Tuesday evening. Steven Berghuis and Sébastien Haller scored for Ajax.
