Erik ten Hag seemed satisfied after the match. "Everyone is working really hard and is in good form. The team has become a single entity. It's something we need to keep in our grasp. The changing room is looking very strong. As long as we continue working as a team, we could go far."

Support from the fans
Ajax had the support of a capacity crowd at the Johan Cruijff ArenA. And yet it felt like more. "It was amazing," said Ten Hag. "We've missed that so much at Ajax. Fans have had to watch from home this whole time. At last we can be together again. The interaction tonight was fantastic."
