Ajax Women head coach Anouk Bruil has selected 19 players for the return leg of the UEFA Women’s Champions League play-off tie against Real Madrid. The coaching staff and squad departed for Madrid on Tuesday afternoon. In the Spanish capital, Ajax must overturn a 2-0 deficit to reach the league phase of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

For Ella Touon, this will be her first European away match. The German defender joined the club from FC Köln in July. It will also be a special football trip for three Ajax talents. Jade Otterman, Julia van Rijsewijk and Kyara Deitelzweig Senior all come from the Ajax Women U19 Talent Team, and the trio have received their first call-up to the squad.
