The Ajax Women recorded a comfortable home victory over AZ, winning 5-1 at sport complex de Toekomst. The Amsterdam side had already established a 3-0 lead by half-time against the visitors from Alkmaar.

Ajax took the lead early in the match through Amber Visscher. Her corner, aided by the wind, curled directly into the net.

Before the break, the Ajax Women extended their advantage to 3-0. The hosts were helped by some uncertain defending from AZ for the second goal. Katja Snoeijs reacted quickest after possession was won inside the AZ penalty area and fired home diagonally. The striker then added Ajax's third goal of the evening.

In the second half, Mirte van Koppen headed the Ajax Women into a 4-0 lead. While the wind had assisted Ajax for the opening goal, the same natural element proved costly for the hosts when AZ pulled one back. A long ball from Maudy Stoop bounced over the advanced Femke Liefting and into the net. Nadine Noordam eventually rounded off the scoring from close range to make it 5-1 and seal the final result.
