The UEFA Super Cup will be staged at the Johan Cruijff ArenA next year. UEFA announced on Tuesday that the match between the winners of the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League will take place on August 11, 2027.

It will be the third time in the history of the Johan Cruijff ArenA that a European final will be played at the stadium. The 1998 UEFA Champions League final between Real Madrid and Juventus (1-0) was held in Amsterdam. The stadium also hosted a European final in 2013, when Chelsea defeated Benfica 2-1 in the UEFA Europa League final.

Amsterdam has hosted other major European finals in the past as well. The 1962 European Cup I final between Benfica and Real Madrid (5-3) and the 1977 European Cup II final between Hamburger SV and Anderlecht (2-0) were both played at the Olympic Stadium.
