Ajax win bizarre Klassieker and reach Cup final

After a bizarre evening of football, Ajax reached the final of the Dutch Cup. The Amsterdam-based team beat Feyenoord 1-2 in De Kuip in Rotterdam. The match was put on hold for over half an hour in the second half after Davy Klaassen was hit with an object from the crowd. This left him with a bloody head wound.

Klaassen was crowned King of the Match. He scored the 1-2 in the 51st minute. Dusan Tadic gave Ajax a head start earlier in the match, during the first half. In the first half’s extra time, Feyenoord managed to equalize via Santiago Giménez: 1-1.

After all, Ajax was on the winning end and will travel back to De Kuip for the final at the end of April. They will take on PSV for the second year in a row.
