Ajax have reached an agreement with Sari Kees regarding the transfer of the 25-year-old defender to Ajax. Kees joins on a free transfer from Leicester City and has signed a contract in Amsterdam that runs until June 30, 2029.
Kees (Tienen, Belgium, February 17, 2001) began her professional career at OH Leuven. In 2019, she moved to KRC Genk Ladies, but after one year returned to the club where she made her professional debut.
In Leuven, the defender developed into the team captain and a Belgium international. After a total of twelve years with OH Leuven, she left her home country in the summer of 2024 for a spell at Leicester City in the English FA Women's Super League.
