Ajax and Union Touarga Sportif reach agreement on Fouad Zahouani

Ajax and Moroccan side Union Touarga Sportif have reached an agreement on the immediate transfer of Fouad Zahouani. The 20-year-old defender has signed a contract in Amsterdam, subject to the completion of several formalities, running until June 30, 2029. Once the transfer is finalised, Zahouani will join the Ajax U23 squad.

Zahouani (Casablanca, Morocco, April 18, 2006) came through the renowned Mohammed VI Football Academy, one of Morocco's most prestigious football academies. In mid-2024, he joined the youth academy of Union Touarga Sportif and was promoted to the club's first team just six months later.

The full-back received his first call-up to the Moroccan national team in the summer of 2025. He made his senior international debut against Tanzania in the African Championship of Nations. Later that year, he helped Morocco U20 win the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
