Ajax and Sandefjord Fotball have reached an agreement on the transfer of Daniel Skaarud to the Norwegian club. The eighteen-year-old winger was under contract with Ajax until June 30, 2027.
Skaarud (Lørenskog, Norway, September 17, 2007) joined Ajax in the summer of 2024 from Lillestrøm SK. The Norwegian youth international was part of the Ajax U19 squad during the 2025/2026 season.
Ajax has signed Gerain van Loon. The sixteen-year-old defender has put pen to paper on a contract running until June 30, 2029. It is his first professional contract.
While Ajax's first team will report for pre-season training on Thursday, the Ajax U23 squad will return a day earlier to begin preparations for the new campaign. Several changes have been made to the Ajax U23 coaching staff. Carlos García, who joined Ajax in February as assistant to Oscar García at both Ajax U23 and Ajax 1, has been appointed head coach with immediate effect.
