Luca Messori was born on 25 October 2007 in Modena, Italy. He joined Ajax’s youth academy at the age of six but returned to partner club BFC when he was twelve. At fifteen, he rejoined Ajax. Messori won the Future Cup with Ajax U17 in 2024 and made his professional debut on 10 May 2024 in the match Jong Ajax – Jong AZ, which ended 1–4.

Carolien Gehrels has decided to step down with immediate effect as a member and Chair of the Supervisory Board (RvC) of AFC Ajax NV. The search for a successor will begin shortly.
