Ajax earned a point from their away match against FC Groningen on Wednesday evening. The clash at the Euroborg ended in a 2-2 draw after a late equaliser from the home side. As a result of the dropped points, the Amsterdam club have lost their top spot in the Eredivisie. On Sunday afternoon, Ajax will play their final league match of the season at home against FC Twente.
Ajax conceded a 2-2 equaliser in the dying seconds against FC Groningen, allowing PSV to take over top spot in the Eredivisie. "It’s never easy to speak after conceding a last-minute equaliser." Francesco Farioli admitted. However, the Italian coach was immediately defiant. "It’s not over yet. We’ve got one more match to play: let’s go!"
