Ajax announced that the club recorded a net loss of 37.3 million euros for the 2024/2025 financial year. Shashi Baboeram Panday, Ajax's Chief Financial Officer, explained the figures: "The result is a consequence of the past few years: not playing in the UEFA Champions League and maintaining a cost structure that matches Champions League level."

From Lyon to Marseille: 78 times Davy Klaassen

The fairytale that began in France on November 22, 2011, will see a beautiful new chapter added almost 14 years later - over 300 kilometres further south, to be precise. Davy Klaassen made his first-team debut for Ajax in a UEFA Champions League match away to Olympique Lyon in 2011. On Tuesday evening in Marseille, he will be crowned the Ajacied with the most European appearances to his name. Olympique Marseille away will be number 78.
