After an hour of play, Kristian Hlynsson extended Ajax's lead to 3-1. The final goal was scored by Steven Berghuis, making it 4-1. With the three points secured, Ajax is closing in on AZ and FC Twente.
Gaston Avila suffered a knee injury during a training session last week. Examination has shown that the 22-year-old defender suffered a serious injury, leaving him unable to play for nine up to twelve months. The Argentinian will undergo surgery soon, after which he will work on his recovery in Spain.
