On Friday, Ajax finished the last training session before the home match against PSV. Under the watchful eye of the press, the finishing touches were given to the preparation of the match on Saturday.
A big part of the training at sports complex De Toekomst was open to the press. They saw the Ajacieden start with an extensive warm-up, continuing with several passing and kicking exercises. The training session ended with mini-games and finishes.
The match against PSV is the fourth official match of 2024. The Amsterdam-based team started the year with three victories on Go Ahead Eagles, RKC, and Heracles. Ajax – PSV will start at 20:00 on Saturday evening.
Letting the Ajax heart speak. John van ’t Schip did it with a personal letter to 'his' supporters. Ziggo and Ajax urged fans to do the same. Out of over 2000 entries, three supporters were invited for a special surprise.
Kelvin de Lang is satisfied with Ajax's winter transfer window. "We knew we couldn't and didn't want to do much. I'm satisfied we still had a good transfer", De Lang says about signing Jordan Henderson. Ajax also got Julian Rijkhoff and Kian Fitz-Jim back.
Julian Rijkhoff has officially returned to Ajax. The nineteen-year-old striker is proud to be able to play in the white-red-white again. "The last days were nerve-wracking, but I’m very happy it all worked out right before the transfer window deadline."
