Ajax's European adventure continues after the winter break in the UEFA Europa League. Alfred Schreuder's team finished in third place in the UEFA Champions League group and will play an intermediate round against a runner-up from the Europa League.
Ajax won their second leg against Rangers FC in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League Tuesday evening. With the half-time score at 0-2 thanks to goals from Steven Berghuis and Mohammed Kudus, the match ended in 1-3. The second half saw substitute Francisco Conceiçao score the third goal for the Amsterdam team, and in doing so secure the result.
