Youri Baas returns to the matchday squad. The defender missed the matches against AZ and Go Ahead Eagles. Abdellah Ouazane will also travel with Ajax to the east of Spain. The seventeen-year-old midfielder made his debut for Ajax’s first team in December in the Dutch Cup match against Excelsior Maassluis. It is the first time Ouazane travels with the squad for a Champions League fixture.

Cruijff: 'I want to make my father proud'

Jordi Cruijff is hugely looking forward to getting started at Ajax in a few weeks’ time. The new Technical Director signed a contract running until the summer of 2028 at the Johan Cruijff ArenA, meaning all signals are now green for him to take up his position from 1 February. "I think this is the right moment."
