Tadic played an important role in the 35th league title in the history of the club this past season. The Serbian scored fourteen goals and provided seventeen assists in the Eredivisie. In Europe, the captain scored five times in twelve games.
Since 1993, the supporters have chosen the best player and talent of the season. Two members of the current selection have previously won the Rinus Michels Award; Maarten Stekelenburg and Daley Blind.
