Gravenberch chosen as Talent of the Year

Ajax staff have chosen Ryan Gravenberch as Talent of the Year. The midfielder - who turned nineteen yesterday – was presented with the Marco van Basten Award as a result of his selection.

Gravenberch follows Sergiño Dest, the last winner of the award, who left for FC Barcelona last summer. The 2020/2021 season was a breakthrough one for Gravenberg, who has been at Ajax since a very young age in the youth academy.

The Dutchman, who has been included in the provisional European Championship squad of for the Netherlands, played a significant amount during his first season as a real fixture of the first team. He played in 47 matches, in which he scored five times and provided six assists.
