Ocampos is extremely happy to be an Ajax player. "For me it is great. And not only for me, but also for my family," he says. "Now it is time to show what I can do on the field. I am joining a historic club, a big club. A club that wins many prizes and has produced great players. That motivates many players to play football here. I think I made the right choice."
Key driving force
"When I was little, Ajax was already world-famous for its philosophy, the football, the fans, the stadium," Ocampos continues. "And by all those big names who have won many prizes here. That is an important motive for coming here."
Team player
The Argentinian acquisition describes himself as a real team player. "Wherever I have played, I have scored goals and been valuable defensively as well. I helped my teammates well. I always give everything for the shirt I play in. That's the most important thing and so far I've done well."
Fighting spirit
Ocampos says he has the same mentality as former Ajax players Nico Tagliafico and Lisandro MartÃnez. "As children, we are brought up with the will to win everything. And with a certain fighting spirit. I am a player who always gives everything and does everything to win. Sometimes it works out well and sometimes badly. But I will always give my all and go all the way. I want my team to win, and I will do everything for that."
