Davy Klaassen has entered the top ten of Ajax players with the most matches in the white-red-white kit. The midfielder played his 356th match for Ajax against FC Twente (2–0), equalling Piet Schrijvers.
Schrijvers and Klaassen are now in a joint tenth place. The latter still has the opportunity to climb higher. Johan Cruijff is currently ninth with 369 appearances, while Barry Hulshoff is eighth with 386 matches.
Of Klaassen's 356 matches, the vast majority were league games: 252. In addition, he played 76 European matches, 24 Cup matches, and four appearances in the Johan Cruijff Shield.
Ajax have ended the last match of the Eredivisie with a victory. The match in the Johan Cruijff ArenA ended 2-0. Francesco Farioli’s team finished in second place in the Eredivisie ranking and will play in the UEFA Champions League next season.
Ajax and adidas present the new 2025/2026 home kit. The new home kit is the first Ajax kit to feature the classic crest, since the return of the classic crest was announced.
