Van de Velde (Amsterdam, November 4, 2001) has been playing for Ajax since 2018. The Amsterdam native made her professional debut on October 21 of that year in the league match against Excelsior Rotterdam. In the summer of 2019, she permanently progressed from the Talent Team to the Ajax Women first team.
The defender, who is also capable of playing in midfield, developed into a key player for the team. On Sunday, October 12, 2025, Van de Velde played her 100th official match for Ajax, earning a place in the Club of 100. After six seasons in Amsterdam, she leaves the club having made 120 appearances. During her time at Ajax, she won one league title in the 2022/2023 season and lifted the Dutch Cup on three occasions: 2018/2019, 2020/2021 and 2023/2024.
Technical Manager Ajax Women Dolf Roks: "Jonna has more than earned this move to TSG Hoffenheim. She progressed from our Talent Team to the first team, went on to win several trophies and became a member of the Club of 100 after making 120 appearances for Ajax. The fact that she can now take the next step to a top league and fulfil her ambition of playing abroad is something the club is proud of as well. We would like to wish Jonna every success in Germany."
