The fitness test started on Monday evening at 6:00 pm in lovely weather. First the team went into the woods in one large group, before being split up into separate groups. The technical staff had set the pace for each group in advance. The run itself was not a race.
As time went on, the sky over De Lutte darkened and a heavy rain shower followed. The Ajax players crossed the finish line soaking wet. Our photographer was there.
Schreuder selects 29 players for camp in De Lutte
Traditionally, Ajax begin the first stage of preseason with a training camp in De Lutte. This week, nearly thirty Ajax players will have the opportunity to show what they’ve got. The new coach Alfred Schreuder is bringing 29 players with him.
