Huntelaar saves Ajax in Enschede

Ajax seemed to be on course to be denied points in their away game in Enschede on Thursday evening until Klaas Jan Huntelaar stepped up to the plate. The striker scored two goals during injury time to single-handedly give Ajax a 1-3 win over FC Twente. Ajax's other goal of came from the boot of Sébastien Haller earlier in the match.

This last-minute win sets up Ajax nicely for Sunday's Klassieker match against Feyenoord, a game which is already shaping up to be a corker. Ajax currently lead the Eredivisie, with Feyenoord trailing by three points in second place.

Trainer Erik ten Hag was enormously proud of Klaas Jan Huntelaar's attacking display against FC Twente. "The finish was outstanding. The experience he has sets an example for a whole generation of players. When he's already got one goal under his belt, he boots it downfield and chases it in search of a second one."
