The Future Cup is an internationally highly regarded youth tournament for U17 teams, which until 2019 was traditionally held at De Toekomst during Easter weekend. Youri Rose's team will take on their peers from seven international clubs during the tournament.
"I'm incredibly happy that we can finally organize another Future Cup at De Toekomst", says head of the youth academy Saïd Ouaali. "Tournaments like these are very important for the training of our youth players because it gives them the opportunity to perform on the highest level. Besides that, I'm of course looking forward to the buzz that every edition of the tournament brings with it."
The first edition of the Future Cup took place during Easter weekend in 2010. Ajax has managed to win the tournament five times. The last edition, in 2019, was won by Juventus. Ajax players such as Davy Klaassen, Abdelhak Nouri, Matthijs de Ligt, and Naci Ünüvar were previously crowned as the best players of the prestigious tournament.
The teams participating in the Future Cup will be announced soon. The ticket sale will start on Monday, February 27 at 12.00. More information about the field of participants and ticket sales will be announced on our channels.
