The season is just about to start for Ajax. The Ajax team will play their first official match of the 2023/2024 football season this Saturday, at home against Heracles. The numbers on the shirts for the new season were announced Tuesday afternoon during an Open Day.

There have been some changes from last season. Devyne Rensch has taken over the number two shirt from Jurriën Timber, for instance. Jorrel Hato now wears the number three, owned last season by Calvin Bassey.

We also now know which numbers the newcomers to the A-team will be wearing. Carlos Forbs gets number 11, Jakov Medić 18, Branco van den Boomen 21, Benjamin Tahirovic 33, and Diant Ramaj 40.
