Five players to leave Ajax Women at end of contracts

Ajax will bid farewell to five players of Ajax Women this summer: Inessa Kaagman, Quinty Sabajo, Roos van der Veen, Bente Jansen, and Dionne van der Wal. Their expiring contracts will not be renewed and will officially come to an end on 30 June 2025.

Inessa Kaagman (29) previously played for the Ajax Women’s first team between 2013 and 2018. The midfielder returned to Amsterdam in November 2024 following spells in the English Super League with Brighton & Hove Albion and with PSV. In total, Kaagman made 134 appearances in the Ajax shirt.

Quinty Sabajo (25) made her debut on 6 September 2020 in a league match against FC Twente (3-1 win). The forward joined Ajax’s ‘Club of 100’ in March this year, and received a commemorative shield from technical director Alex Kroes ahead of the final home match of the season against Telstar. Sabajo played 100 matches in total for Ajax.

Bente Jansen (25) became an Ajax player in the summer of 2023. The forward joined from FC Twente after 12 years at the club. During her time in the capital, Jansen made 33 appearances.

Roos van der Veen (23) signed for Ajax in 2022, having joined from sc Heerenveen, the club where she began her career. The defender made sixteen appearances during her time in Amsterdam.

Dionne van der Wal (22) also joined from sc Heerenveen in 2022. The goalkeeper made her Eredivisie debut for the Friesian club at the age of sixteen. At Ajax, Van der Wal featured in four official matches.
