Blind (Amsterdam, March 9, 1990) joined Ajax's youth academy at the age of eight. He made his first-team debut on December 7, 2008, in the match between FC Volendam and Ajax. The left-footed defender spent the second half of the 2009/2010 season on loan at FC Groningen before returning to Ajax. In the years that followed, he won four consecutive Eredivisie titles with the club (2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014), as well as the Johan Cruijff Shield in 2013.

In the summer of 2014, Blind completed a move to Manchester United. Four years later, he returned to Amsterdam and immediately won the domestic double in his first season back. He also lifted the Johan Cruijff Shield in 2019. During the coronavirus-curtailed 2019/2020 campaign, Ajax finished top of the Eredivisie, before Blind helped the club secure two more league titles in his final two full seasons. He has now won seven Eredivisie championships with Ajax in total, in addition to several individual honours during his time at the club.

In December 2022, Blind left Ajax and, a month later, joined Bayern Munich on a free transfer, signing a six-month contract. He won the Bundesliga title with the German club before moving to Spanish side Girona FC in the summer of 2023. After his contract with Girona expired this summer, he was able to rejoin Ajax as a free agent.

With his new deal, Blind begins another chapter in Amsterdam, where he has already made 333 appearances for Ajax's first team, scoring thirteen goals.

Jordi Cruijff: "It's great to welcome Daley back to the club where it all began for him. He brings experience, composure and quality, and those are attributes that can help this group immediately. For us, this is a logical move because someone with his background and personality fits perfectly with what we want to build."
