Michael van Praag (Amsterdam, 28 September 1947) is being nominated as to succeed Pier Eringa, who formally steps down as chair of the Supervisory Board as of 2 October 2023. Van Praag was already associated with Ajax as a director from 1989 to 2003.
Leo van Wijk (Amsterdam, 18 October 1946) is also a familiar face at Ajax. Van Wijk was a member of the Supervisory Board (RvC) between 2012 and 2020, and from 2016 to 2018, he was also chair of the administrative body.
The nomination will be decided on at the AGM to be held on Friday, 17 November 2023.
Jan van Halst has informed the Supervisory Board that it is no longer clear to him whether he will return to the Supervisory Board after 15 March 2024 when his temporary appointment as chief executive expires.
