During the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of today, Wednesday, May 24, the Board of the Ajax Association has announced its stepping down after the formation process. The Board calls for the honorary members to form a new board.
During the formation process, the Board will only deal with ongoing affairs. The Board will officially step down on September 1, 2023, or earlier in case of finishing the formation process sooner.
Chairman Frank Eijken stated during the AGM that his Board does not support the current policy pursued. Recently, discussions arose after the decision to honour the Supervisory Board.
The Supervisory Board (SB) of AFC Ajax NV nominates Pier Eringa as member and also chairman of the SB. This is a nomination for appointment for a term lasting three years and eight months, until the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in November 2026. Eringa's nomination has the support of the Works Council of AFC Ajax NV and the Ajax Association as major shareholder.

Ajax has signed Kelvin de Lang. De Lang will be Head of Scouting per August 4, 2023. He is the successor of Henk Veldmate, who will return to FC Groningen after seven years at Ajax. De Lang has reached an agreement with Ajax on a contract that runs until June 30, 2027. He is currently working at Manchester City as head of talent partnerships and placements.
