Just two days after signing his Ajax contract, Sofyan Amrabat made his first appearance on the training pitch. New arrival Viktor Tsyhankov was also involved in the session, with both recent additions taking part in the squad’s first group training of the week leading up to the top-of-the-table clash with PSV.
Tsyhankov completed his move to Ajax last week, while Amrabat officially became an Ajax player on the day of the Telstar v Ajax match. Shortly after the 30-year-old Morocco international signed his contract in Amsterdam, his new teammates secured an emphatic 0-4 victory in Velsen-Zuid. The match against Telstar was Ajax’s final outing before the home fixture against PSV.
Ajax, Youri Regeer and Werder Bremen have reached an agreement regarding the midfielder's loan move to the German club. The 23-year-old will spend the remainder of the current season on loan with the Bundesliga side until the summer of 2027. The loan agreement includes an option to buy for Werder Bremen. Regeer remains under contract with Ajax until June 30, 2029.
