Amourricho van Axel Dongen extends contract

Ajax and Amourricho van Axel Dongen have reached an agreement on the extension of his contact, which ran until June 30, 2023. The new contract of the 18-year-old attacker, who will play using the name Amourricho from now on, runs until June 30, 2027. After the summer break, he will join the Ajax 1 squad.

Van Axel Dongen (Almere, September 29, 2004) had been playing in Ajax's youth academy since 2013. On December 15, 2021, he made his debut for Ajax 1 during the Dutch Cup match Ajax - Barendrecht (4-0). Until now, the right-footed player played three matches for Ajax's first team.

Besides his appearance for Ajax 1, the right-footed player has played 23 matches for Ajax U23 in which he scored three goals.
