Ajax Women turn their attention to Rangers

Ajax Women took an important step towards qualifying for the UEFA Women's Champions League on Wednesday. Anouk Bruil's side defeated Brøndby IF 2-0, and by Thursday the Amsterdam club had already shifted their focus to the next match in the qualifying tournament in Glasgow. Rangers FC await on Saturday, with a place in the third qualifying round at stake.

Katja Snoeijs and Mirte van Koppen were the heroes for Bruil's team on Wednesday afternoon. Their goals secured victory over the Danish side and booked Ajax's place in the next stage. The day after the crucial win, there was a brief opportunity to savour the success, but attention quickly turned to the upcoming clash.

The day after the match began with a recovery session in the gym for the players who started the previous evening. Shortly afterwards, the entire squad travelled to Broadwood Stadium, where the substitutes and those who did not feature against Brøndby took part in a training session on the pitch. On Saturday, Ajax will be aiming to reach the final qualifying round for a place in the UEFA Women's Champions League group stage.

These are exciting times on the pitch for Ajax Women as they continue their European campaign.
