Ajax U23 pushed the home side back in the first half. After just over 25 minutes, that eventually resulted in a wonderful opening goal for Ajax U23. A cross from the left reached Leo Salazar at the far post. The Spaniard brilliantly struck the ball out of the air: 0-1.

Goal from close range
Before half-time, Ajax U23 came close to doubling their lead. Jano Monserrate stepped up to take a free kick from around 20 metres. The creative midfielder struck the crossbar.

Monserrate did play a major part in the 0-2 before half-time. The Ajax player reached the byline and put the ball on a plate for Emre Ünüvar. The striker fired home Ajax U23's second goal of the evening from close range.

In the second half, TOP Oss quickly pulled one back. A high ball was not fully cleared on two occasions by goalkeeper Joeri Heerkens. After the second attempt, the ball fell to striker Andy Visser, who then fired it past Heerkens.

That goal sparked a comeback from TOP Oss. While Ajax U23 had the upper hand in the first half, the home side took control in the second. Through Maxim Mariani and a second goal from Visser, TOP Oss even looked set to take the three points.

Stunning goal
That was until substitute Abdoulaye Camara stepped up to take a free kick from around 25 metres in stoppage time. The eighteen-year-old Frenchman curled the ball powerfully and precisely into the top corner with the inside of his foot. His late but stunning goal sparked celebrations among the Ajax U23 players. There were no further goals.
