Ajax has reached an agreement with Yves Bissouma. The free-agent midfielder has signed a contract in Amsterdam that takes immediate effect and runs until June 30, 2027.
Bissouma was born in Issia, Côte d'Ivoire, on August 30, 1996. The player, who also holds Malian nationality, began his professional career with Lille OSC in France in 2016.
The Mali international moved to England in 2018 after signing for Brighton & Hove Albion. Following four seasons with the club, he continued his career at Tottenham Hotspur in 2022, where his contract expired this summer.

We have brought in an experienced player who knows what it takes to perform at the highest level. He is capable of playing in several positions, and we hope he will be available for selection as soon as possible."
Ajax recorded a third consecutive away victory in the VriendenLoterij Eredivisie on Saturday evening. Following wins over PEC Zwolle and Telstar, Ajax also came out on top away to Fortuna Sittard. The match ended 1-5, with Julian Brandt, Thilo Kehrer, Davy Klaassen, Kasper Dolberg and Youri Baas all finding the net.

Ajax has signed Simon Adingra on loan from Sunderland AFC. The 24-year-old winger arrives in Amsterdam with immediate effect and will spend the remainder of the season on loan from the English club. The agreement includes an option to buy for Ajax.
