Ajax has reached agreement with Rayane Bounida. The 16-year-old attacking midfielder will be released this summer from the Belgian RSC Anderlecht. He has signed a three-season contract with Ajax, from 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2025.
Bounida was born on 3 March 2006 in Vilvoorde, Belgium. The Belgian youth international is currently playing in Anderlecht's youth and will be playing at the Ajax youth academy after its transition to Ajax.
The Future Cup won’t take place this year. Ajax has made this decision because of the international character of the tournament and the uncertainty that the corona crisis has brought with it the past few months.
Halfway through it seemed to be a carefree afternoon, but in the end Ajax still ran into problems against RKC. Due to a late goal by Dusan Tadic, the Ajax players were still able to secure their nineteenth league win of the season (3-2) and they remain the leaders in the Eredivisie.
Ajax came away from a difficult match against RKC Waalwijk on Sunday with three points. The Amsterdam side won 3-2 at home. After two goals from Sébastien Haller, RKC equalized in the second half. Dusan Tadic scored the winning goal in the last minute of regular time.
