Ajax, Go Ahead Eagles, and Oliver Edvardsen have reached an agreement on the transfer of the winger to Amsterdam. The 25-year-old Norwegian has signed a contract that takes effect immediately and runs until June 30, 2028. The agreement includes an option for Ajax to extend the deal by an additional year.

Edvardsen (Bærum, Norway, March 19, 1999) began his professional career at Vålerenga II before playing for Grorud IL and Stabæk. In the summer of 2022, the winger signed with Go Ahead Eagles, with whom he won the play-offs for European football at the end of last season. This season, he has played 14 Eredivisie matches, scoring eight goals and providing four assists.

Technical director Alex Kroes: "As is well known, we have been looking for reinforcement on the left-wing position for some time. That’s why we are very pleased with the signing of Oliver. He is a player with great depth, scores frequently, and has impressive statistics. Moreover, he is versatile and can play on both flanks. Given all these qualities, we are convinced that he will be a great asset to our team.
