Ajax has signed Joshua Bastien. The sixteen-year-old defender has signed a contract that runs until June 30, 2029. It is his first professional contract.

Bastien (August 22, 2009, Capelle aan den IJssel) joined Ajax's youth academy from Sparta Rotterdam in the summer of 2025. This season, the left-footed youth international has been part of Ajax U17.

Director of Football Marijn Beuker: "Joshua is an attacking full-back who is very comfortable on the ball. From his position he is able to create openings in attacking play and put teammates into promising positions. Since joining Ajax, he has developed well and shown that he possesses a great deal of potential. We are confident that he will continue this progress in the coming years, and we look forward to his future at Ajax."
