Ajax ready for FC Sion away after final training session

The Ajax players, led by head coach Míchel Sánchez, trained on Wednesday at the de Toekomst training complex. The session focused on the upcoming clash with FC Sion. On Thursday, the two teams will meet in Switzerland for the first play-off match in the battle for a place in the League Phase of the UEFA Conference League. Shortly after training, Ajax departed for Schiphol Airport.

The Ajax delegation will fly to Geneva later in the afternoon. Preparations for the play-off fixture will continue there. The Amsterdam side will inspect the pitch at Stade de Tourbillon this evening. The stadium will host the first meeting between the two clubs on Thursday from 20:15. The decisive return leg will take place next week in the familiar surroundings of the Johan Cruijff ArenA.
