Ajax has reached an agreement with FC Barcelona and Jofre Torrents regarding the transfer of the defender. The 19-year-old player has signed a contract in Amsterdam that runs until June 30, 2030.
Torrents (January 28, 2007, La Selva del Camp, Tarragona, Spain) joined Barcelona’s youth academy in 2017 at the age of twelve and made his first-team debut on August 16, 2025, in the La Liga match against RCD Mallorca. Last season, he mainly featured for Barça Atlètic, while this season he was part of FC Barcelona's first-team squad during pre-season. In total, Torrents made four appearances for the Catalan club's first team.
